Welcome to the NextGen Blogsite, a ministry of the Next Generation Team of Tri-Cities Baptist Church! We live in exciting times, as God is at work in a special way among the next generation. Life is not about us and our individual stories, but rather about our great God and HIS beautiful story! We exist for the name and fame of Jesus Christ! The glory of it all is that HE has made a way for us out of the hopelessness of ourselves and into the riches of His grace. We have entered into an intimate, vibrant, growing relationship with the God of the universe because of what Jesus has done for us in His death and resurrection! If that isn’t enough, He has called us to be a part of His mission in this world to share the Good News to all nations and to make multiplying disciples of Jesus. He will build His church, but we get to join Him in His activity! How exciting is that?!
We are humbled at God’s call for us to reach and disciple the next generation here in the Tri-Cities area. The need is often overwhelming and the potential is amazing! The mission is bigger than us. It is our heart to see this mission carried out in community that is dependent upon God together. We need each other. It is our prayer that this site may be an encouragement and valuable resource for you as we partner together to see worshipers of Christ in the next generation. This is designed for ministry volunteers, parents, and all those with a heart for the next generation to come to be encouraged, challenged, and equipped in the area of service God has placed you. On this site you will find relevant articles, videos, recommended readings, sermons, resources, and periodical posts from our staff team across the age-graded ministries.
May this site help you to be “strengthened with power through His Spirit…so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith- that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
